Vicki Lynn Wilson is a local Portland artist who specializes in sculpture and installation, but also is involved in performance art. Recently, her art has been about the natural world, but her older installation work holds more relevance to the work I am doing in this class.
The work she was doing prior to 2009 had a lot to do with the female form in a narrative fantasy installation. The work also had a fashion quality to them which also really attracts me to her work. I find the work reminiscent of japanese fashion magazine ads, which draws me in. I find the visuals incredibly interesting and beautiful.
